Teenage Women's Awareness of the Risks of Early Pregnancy in Light of the LBW Incident

Abstract

Adolescence is a period of human growth and development after childhood and before adulthood in the age range of 10-19 years. Teenage pregnancy is a pregnancy that occurs in women aged 14-20 years, both married and unmarried teenagers. Risk factors for teenage pregnancy in aspects of adolescent life such as affecting physical, psychological and social health. Risks to physical health include the safety and physical health of adolescents and their unborn children. Risks to babies include the possibility of premature birth, low birth weight (LBW), congenital defects and infant death. The aim of the research is to determine the knowledge of young women about the dangers of early pregnancy and the incidence of LBW. Based on the results of literature searches through Google Scholar publications, the national library and Pumbed Central (PMC). using the keyword "Knowledge of Young Women about the Dangers of Early Pregnancy with LBW, the journals that were found were then screened based on the appropriate topic and year of publication of the journal, resulting in 8 journals being reviewed. Journals in the last 5 years relating to the knowledge of young women regarding the dangers of early pregnancy and the incidence of LBW. Reference searches were limited to articles available in full text that could be accessed by researchers, using Indonesian or English and publication years between 2017-2022. The types of studies analyzed were all types of research, Knowledge of Young Women about the Dangers of Early Pregnancy and the Incident of LBW.
