Pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum complications pose a significant threat to women's health as they are the leading cause of death for both mothers and newborns. 2020 has seen an increase in East Java's maternal mortality rate. East Java Province Health Profile, 2020 states that the province's maternal mortality rate was 89.81 per 100,000 live births in 2019 and 98.39 per 100,000 live births in 2020. Pregnant women at high risk are not the best. Pregnant women are among the vulnerable groups that the Covid-19 virus targets, so it also raises the number of maternal deaths. The virus affects people of all ages.
