Husband Support for Successful Breastfeeding of Exclusive Breast Milk in the Relationship

Breast milk is the best food for baby's health and intelligence. Exclusive breastfeeding is influenced by health behavior factors, one of which is the driving factor including the husband's support which is needed so that mothers can breastfeed exclusively. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between husband's support to the success of exclusive breastfeeding. This research method uses correlation analytic with cross sectional approach. Sampling using accidental sampling formula. The population in this study is breastfeeding mothers who have babies aged 6-12 months with a sample of 31 respondents. The data used is primary data by giving questionnaires to respondents. The results of this study are known to be sig. (2 tailed) between infant feeding and informative support was 0.000 <0.005, which means that there is a relationship between successful breastfeeding and informative support. The results of this study are known to the value of sig. (2 tailed) between infant feeding and emotional support is 0.000 <0.005, which means that there is a relationship between successful breastfeeding and emotional support. The conclusion is that there is a relationship between husband's support and the success of exclusive breastfeeding for breastfeeding mothers. Suggestions that all family members, especially husbands provide support for mothers to breastfeed their babies exclusively and for cadres to be able to invite family members of mothers (parents, husbands, siblings) to participate in KP-ASI activities and provide counseling about the importance of exclusive breastfeeding.
